From the earliest days of St Virgil’s College, sport has been an integral part of school life — fostering teamwork, discipline, and character. Across generations, Old Virgilians have carried these values beyond the College gates, distinguishing themselves in local, national, and international arenas.
This page celebrates those Old Virgilians who have made notable contributions to sport — as athletes, coaches, administrators, and mentors — continuing the proud tradition of excellence that defines our college community.
Old Virgilians have long demonstrated that success in sport is not measured solely in medals, but in integrity, teamwork, and perseverance. Whether on the field, in the gym, or behind the scenes, these men embody the College’s enduring motto — “By Deeds, Not Words.”
“Through sport, Old Virgilians have upheld the spirit of fair play, humility, and excellence — values that echo the College’s proud tradition.”
Over the past several months former students of the College have attained considerable success in their chosen sports.
